The window is opened

The window is opened
by peeling back an eyelid
whence vision is effected.

The openness of ears has
only a small bearing on this.

The door has a neat row of teeth
and a tongue with 'welcome' written on it.

There are no people in the room
and the carpet has no footprints
but above the fireplace
is an image depicting love.

The number of bones in the skeleton of thought
has only a small bearing on this.

The sun is setting in the fireplace
and this is intimately connected
with the picture depicting love.

The room is filled with birds,
so many that none can fly.
One of the birds has a tongue with 'welcome' written on it,
and this is intimately connected
with the picture depicting love.

As soon as the eyelid
of the window opens
this one bird will fly out
and vision will be effected.

As soon as the door smiles
all the other birds will fly out
taking their footprints with them.

The setting sun will be visible
and the picture above the fireplace will be exposed

But without the axioms of love
this will have only a small bearing on the matter
