| She who walks
For Her, and for Julia who showed her to me
She who walks unhindered over water's arched spine:
she
who moves into night cloud
softly and gently
is
always the dark,
is slowly moving, curving,
and thus becomes still with the surging wave;
slow; carefully unfolding,
(bright air all clear).
She is motion poised within.
At night the road will become open as the evening
and birds that sing like thought inside wave.
(And always song moves into her throat:
her singing.)
She who always becomes bright at evening
and who moves the still air night
and always walks into dark with all the birds' song:
(Unhindered night is the clear road that moves
over cloud, slowly surging).
She will sing into
water's softly moving wave;
is become
like her arched and curving, slow-motion open thought.
Throat, spine, gently and carefully poised, as, inside her
she is thus unfolding;
within the wave:
singing.
