The Quick Brown Fox
(a typing poem)

The quick brown fox wears Tej nylon socks
and tapered crimplene slacks.
But the lazy dog seems to live in a fog
and finances the state with his tax.

The big yellow lion he preaches for Zion
and the lazy dog always donates.
But the quick brown fox blasphemingly mocks
and conspires at defrauding the fates.

The now extinct quagga spends his time smoking dagga
Action is his passionate hate.
While the quick brown fox is drilling the rocks
shore up the walls of the state.

The long grey pig aspires to be big
with capital surplus and labour.
But the quick brown fox has a bomb in a box
to tear out the guts of his neighbour.

The low-slung rat has a cane and a hat
and his dance fills the dog with delight.
But the quick brown fox is unpicking the locks
that divide off the day from the night.
