Adderley Street

The town's main drag
on a cold wet night
is dimly lit
by electric light.

The rear lights are red
and the headlamps bright:
Red on the left
and white to the right.

There are some people there
but they don't mean well:
they want your cash,
they have nothing to sell.

The cars drive by
with their doors locked tight
in the town's main drag
on this cold dark night.
