In the mind there is a river
that flows from the sunrise
to the place where water and sun
both enter the sea, and we can never
be content unless we are walking
with sticks and bags within sight
of where the sun's children play
flickering games with each ripple
and where movement of leaf
and reed renders all vision
uncertain, and where the nests
of weavers bounce in response
to the air and there is green
growth and frogs call and call.
